We are seeking a dedicated Equipment Technician to join their team in Dagenham. This is a hands-on, full-time role ideal for someone with a methodical approach, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for the preparation, testing, and maintenance of lighting, rigging, and other technical rental equipment, ensuring top quality standards are met at all times.

Equipment Technician Role:
As an Equipment Technician, you will play a key role in supporting operational management with the upkeep and readiness of all equipment. You’ll ensure all items are PAT tested, correctly logged and stored, and meet all quality control standards before going out on hire.

Equipment Technician Key Responsibilities:

Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on all portable electrical equipment

Conduct thorough function tests on returned assets in line with procedures

Maintain accurate tracking of inventory using internal systems

Report and initiate repairs for any damaged equipment

Assist with supervision of apprentices and trainees during hands-on training

Keep the work area clean, safe, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations

Liaise with Equipment Coordinators, Managers, and Inventory Teams to ensure smooth operation

Essential:

High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety

IT literate and able to learn inventory systems quickly

Strong communication skills

Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn

Flexible to work overtime and occasional weekends as required

Desirable:

Previous experience in a similar equipment technician or warehouse-based role

Basic understanding of lighting and rigging equipment
