Location: Near Twyford, Berkshire (Hybrid / WFH)

Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped commission

Hours: Part-time (circa 22 hours per week – flexible across 3 days)

Working Pattern: Initially office-based to support onboarding and getting to know the team, then moving to a hybrid split (1 day WFH, 2 days office-based)

We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Consultant to join our growing business. This opportunity is ideal for someone seeking flexibility or part-time hours without sacrificing earning potential, within a team that values relationships, quality, and long-term success.

This role would suit an experienced salesperson who enjoys building relationships, winning new business, and developing client accounts. Recruitment experience is not essential, as full training can be provided.

The Role

As a Business Development Consultant, your primary focus will be generating new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and helping grow the company through a consultative sales approach. You will work closely with the recruitment team, who will support delivery, allowing you to focus on developing and expanding the client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with business owners, directors, and hiring managers
  • Managing and growing client accounts
  • Conducting business development calls, meetings, and networking activities
  • Understanding client requirements and presenting tailored recruitment solutions
  • Negotiating commercial terms and securing new agreements
  • Developing a strong pipeline of prospective clients
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and activity management
  • Working closely with the recruitment team to ensure excellent client service

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or client relationship management
  • Experience selling a service rather than a physical product
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable:

  • Previous recruitment experience
  • Experience within professional services, consultancy, training, marketing, insurance, telecoms, facilities management, or other service-led industries
  • Existing business network
  • Experience working in a target-driven environment
