This is an exciting opportunity to lead the marketing team responsible for the growth of a global digital agency. You will lead the operational decisions within the Marketing team, whilst closely managing existing projects and campaigns to ensure successful delivery and demonstrable results. You’ll need to be ‘hands‑on’ and relish the opportunity to develop a small, growing team of talented marketers.

Purpose of the Role

As a Senior CRO consultant, you will keep us true to our mission, taking ownership of our Conversion Rate Optimisation strategy and delivery for a portfolio of clients. As a senior you will be expected to bring senior‑level expertise to data‑driven experimentation, behavioural insight, and digital performance improvement. Collaborate to accelerate is not just a poster on our walls, its key to how we operate. As a CRO consultant, you’ll act as the connector across all our production teams, orchestrating CRO components delivered by UX, Creative, Platforms, and Analytics colleagues, while also working directly with clients to shape strategy, build testing roadmaps, and demonstrate clear ROI. You’ll help evolve and champion the Remarkable approach to CRO, contributing to the growth of the practice and supporting vendor partner relationships across our CRO portfolio.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • CRO Delivery: Own and deliver end‑to‑end CRO activity for Remarkable clients, covering content, layout, component, journey, and channel levels of optimisation. Build and implement CRO hypotheses, tests, and experiments in collaboration with Client Partners, UX and Creative teams, ensuring all work is properly specified, estimated, and client‑approved. Stretch optimisation testing beyond the website into email, programmatic, search, AI platforms, and other channels where appropriate. Maintain rigorous CRO governance and quality processes to ensure safe, high‑quality deliveries for clients.
  • Data, Insight & Strategy: Analyse and draw behavioural insights from qualitative and quantitative data sources, including Google Analytics, Hotjar, Sitecore Analytics, Adobe Analytics, AEO, and basket‑level data. Define and deliver client audits, data‑led testing roadmaps, and success plans that map CRO activity against client strategy and KPIs. Produce clear, compelling reports and recommendations that demonstrate progress and drive informed decision‑making.
  • Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to develop and evolve their CRO programmes, helping them understand the value of testing and experimentation at every stage. Lead and contribute to client workshops and presentations, communicating CRO strategy and results with clarity and confidence. Support the management of CRO software vendor partners within the Remarkable portfolio.
  • Practice Development: Support the evolution of Remarkable’s CRO approach, refining processes, terminology, and frameworks to aid client understanding and delivery quality. Stay current with emerging CRO technologies, tools, and techniques — bringing new thinking into the team and sharing knowledge across the practice. Identify new opportunities for Remarkable and actively contribute to the growth of the CRO practice.

Skills & Competencies

  • CRO & Experimentation: Solid experience building hypotheses, implementing tests, and analysing results across A/B, multivariate, and personalisation testing. Working knowledge of CRO platforms such as Optimizely, VWO, Monetate, and Glassbox Optimize, with the drive to develop deep expertise. Understanding of the full CRO cycle across content, layout, component, journey, and channel levels.
  • Analytics & Data: Strong analytics skills across tools including Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, and Sitecore Analytics. Familiarity with the broader data and insight landscape, including regression testing, sentiment tracking, and data lakes. Experience of SEO and performance marketing, and an understanding of how channel audiences shape digital experience expectations.
  • Design & Technical: Familiarity with UX design techniques including sketching, wireframing, prototyping, and UI design. Ability to bring lo‑fi mock‑ups to life using creative tools such as Sketch, Figma, Axure, or Adobe Creative Suite is a strong advantage. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for implementing tests is a bonus.
  • Tools & Ways of Working: Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; comfortable working in digital collaboration tools such as Slack. Experience using project and workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Forecast is an advantage. BSc/BA in Marketing, Statistical Analysis, Strategy, or equivalent vocational experience.

Conduct high‑level risk assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and oversee internal and external audits. Lead in responding to security incidents affecting your team and allocating necessary resources to support the information security programme. Ensure attendance at management review meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the agency’s information security posture.
