About Us

The Remarkable Group has been established for over 50 years and provides the highest quality services for autistic young people. Wargrave House School (ages 5‑16) and Ascent College (ages 16‑25) operate a non‑maintained special school and independent specialist college with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to autistic young people. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society.

The Role

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching in English, Maths or Science
  • Teach small class sizes (typically 6–8 students), enabling personalised learning
  • Differentiate effectively to meet a range of needs
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Support Assistants and specialist teams
  • Contribute to raising standards and learner achievement
  • Support both the academic and personal development of learners

This ensures you are fully supported to focus on teaching and learning.

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Have experience teaching at GCSE level in your subject
  • Be reflective and motivated to develop your practice
