Purpose of Role
To plan, manage, facilitate and execute the delivery of all projects or assignments you have been allocated, with a strong focus on end-to-end website design and development projects. Through predefined deadlines and budgets, your role is to ensure all resources are scheduled (and kept up to date should projects change), scope is actively managed, proven experience managing change request trackers and delivery remains aligned to budgets, timelines and agreed deliverables. You are responsible for driving the project forward with your team, ensuring a high-quality outcome through to go-live and beyond. All projects must be reported on, managed and documented properly and consistently to maintain our expected delivery standards and accuracy. Customer service and customer satisfaction is always a top priority. You will work directly with clients day-to-day and are expected to be commercially savvy, proactively identifying opportunities for new work and ensuring delivery milestones support invoicing and profitability across your squad. This role requires strong ownership of commercial delivery: you’ll be expected to forecast accurately and proactively manage project burn, while driving delivery firmly against agreed milestones to ensure the agency meets its invoicing points and does not miss any billing opportunities.
Based on the project types within the agency that range from Waterfall and Scrum, you are expected to be trained and certified to manage Agile Scrum teams to successfully execute the appropriate adoption and management style when called upon. The Project Manager must be able to run all Scrum ceremonies effectively and in line with the Agile framework from the get-go. Our clients expect Agile ceremonies to be run professionally and smoothly, and our developers rely on them to plan capacity and stay on track with delivery.
