Purpose of Role
This role sits at the heart of our digital marketing delivery. Alongside your client work, you will provide day-to-day support to the VP Experience & Optimisation, helping keep the practice running smoothly by assisting with scheduling, reporting, resourcing, and team coordination as needed. You will be organised, dependable and happy to flex between campaign delivery and operational support as priorities demand.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of performance marketing across Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO and Email for a portfolio of clients
- Build, launch and optimise campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn (and other relevant platforms)
- Apply CRO thinking to improve results: identify conversion opportunities, input into optimisation/test briefs, and coordinate experimentation with specialists
- Produce clear, insight-led reporting that explains what’s working, what’s not, and what you’ll do next, always linked to agreed KPIs
- Maintain high quality control so campaigns go live accurately, on time, and to spec
- Be the trusted day-to-day contact for clients, building strong relationships through proactive communication and consistent delivery
- Present performance updates on calls with confidence and handle day-to-day questions quickly and clearly
- Spot risks and growth opportunities early, escalating to the VP Experience & Optimisation and supporting upsell where appropriate
- Support pitches/proposals with channel recommendations, performance insights and case study materials
- Provide practical support to the VP (scheduling, meeting prep, status tracking, internal comms) to keep delivery running smoothly
- Prepare materials for client reviews and leadership reporting (data collation + concise summaries)
- Maintain and improve templates and processes so the practice scales efficiently and consistently
- Use AI-powered platform features/tools to improve efficiency and performance (e.g., smart bidding, automated reporting, creative testing, audience insights)
- Stay current on platform updates and emerging channels and share relevant learnings with the team/clients
- Build commercial awareness: understand what drives profitability and margin across your client portfolio
Skills and Competencies
- Strong hands-on experience in digital marketing, with practical skills across paid search and/or paid social platforms
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and Google Analytics 4
- Comfortable reading and interpreting campaign data, producing clear reports and making evidence-based recommendations
- Familiarity with CRO principles and how conversion thinking applies to channel strategy - you don’t need to be a specialist but should understand the fundamentals
- Organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball
- Good communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients in calls and written updates
- An interest in AI tools and how they can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of digital marketing delivery
Personal Attributes
- Dependable: Consistently delivers accurate, well-organised work across multiple accounts without needing to be chased
- Data-Driven: Comfortable with campaign data and uses it to make decisions, not just describe activity
- Good Communicator: Manages client communications clearly and proactively, keeping people informed
- Adaptable: Can switch between campaign delivery and supporting the VP with operational tasks without losing pace
- Curious: Keeps an eye on what is changing in platforms and tools, and brings useful ideas to the team
- Quality Focused: Invested in doing good work and continuously improving, both in their own delivery and for their clients
