Are you a passionate Maths teacher looking to make a real difference beyond the classroom? At Ascent College, you will support autistic young people and adults to develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need for life beyond education. We are seeking a motivated, values-driven Maths GCSE specialist to join our growing team as we continue to develop innovative and aspirational post-16 provision.

About Us

The Remarkable Group has been established for over 50 years, providing the highest quality services for autistic young people. Wargrave House School (ages 5 – 16) & Ascent College (ages 16 – 25) operate a non-maintained special school and independent specialist college with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to Autistic young people. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society.

The Role

As a teacher at Ascent College, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, personalised Maths learning tailored to individual pathways.
  • Teach small groups (typically 6–10 students) to enable meaningful progress.
  • Support students to develop life skills, independence, and employability.
  • Adapt teaching approaches in line with EHCP outcomes and therapeutic guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with Student Learning Mentors and specialist teams.

About You

We are looking for professionals who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)

Experience in SEN or post-16 education is desirable, but not essential.
