The Role: We're seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our growing team, specializing in pumping and wastewater systems across the North-West and beyond.
Key Focus Areas:
- Cold water booster systems & pump maintenance
- Submersible sewage & groundwater pumping systems
- Motor/pump control systems and electrical maintenance
- Pipework & valve systems (Ductile Iron, Copper, HDPE/MDPE, Stainless Steel)
- Water treatment, rainwater harvesting, and septic tank systems
Your Responsibilities as Field Service Engineer:
- Technical Delivery:
- Maintain and service pumping systems and associated equipment
- Carry out safe isolation procedures and basic electrical maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
- Handle emergency callouts with professionalism and efficiency
- Deliver exceptional service across construction, facilities management and industrial sites
- Work independently while maintaining strong communication with customers
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems
- Primarily North-West based (Manchester, Liverpool, surrounding areas)
- Occasional UK-wide travel with overnight stays
- Participate in on-call rota (1 week in 3 or 4)
Essential What We're Looking for in Our Field Service Engineer:
- Strong mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering background
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Proactive problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Mandatory participation in on-call rota (1 week in 3 or 1 week in 4 depending on staffing/holidays)
Desirable:
- Background in pumping systems, water treatment, or similar
- Electrical qualifications or solid electrical understanding
- Experience in wastewater, facilities maintenance, or construction
