This is a full-time hybrid role, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. As a Partner in the Business Rates team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing rating assessments
  • Preparing valuation reports
  • Negotiating appeals
  • Advising clients on business rates liabilities and mitigation solutions
  • Liaising with valuation officers
  • Mentoring junior team members
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing client relationships through exceptional service delivery, and pursuing new business.

Required experience & qualifications:

  • Proficiency in property valuation, rating assessments, and appeals
  • Strong analytical and research skills for evaluating business rates and relevant data
  • Experience in client relationship management and providing strategic advice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Membership or qualification from RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or an equivalent body is preferred
  • IRRV qualified (desirable)
  • Proficient in the use of property valuation software and standard office applications
  • Focused on legislation and regulations related to Business Rates
  • Experienced in managing a team (small or large)
  • Track record of winning new business, and/or a strong desire to undertake Business Development
