Role description: This is a full-time hybrid role, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. As a Partner in the Business Rates team, you will be responsible for:
- managing rating assessments
- preparing valuation reports
- negotiating appeals
- advising clients on business rates liabilities and mitigation solutions
- liaising with valuation officers
- mentoring junior team members
- ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- maintaining and enhancing client relationships through exceptional service delivery
- pursuing new business
Required experience & qualifications:
- Proficiency in property valuation, rating assessments, and appeals
- Strong analytical and research skills for evaluating business rates and relevant data
- Experience in client relationship management and providing strategic advice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Membership or qualification from RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or an equivalent body is preferred
- IRRV qualified (desirable)
- Proficient in the use of property valuation software and standard office applications
- Focused on legislation and regulations related to Business Rates
- Experienced in managing a team (small or large)
- Track record of winning new business, and/or a strong desire to undertake Business Development
