Role Description
The Managing Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for REM Associates Ltd, ensuring the business delivers high-quality executive search and e-fulfilment growth services. This full-time, on-site role based in Reading involves setting the company vision, defining growth plans, and overseeing P&L performance. The Managing Director will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, manage key client relationships, and drive new business development with blue-chip organisations, brands, and 3PL providers. Day-to-day responsibilities include shaping service offerings, ensuring delivery excellence in executive search and consultancy projects, and representing the company in senior-level client meetings and industry forums. The role also includes monitoring market trends in logistics and supply chain, refining commercial strategy, and ensuring strong governance, compliance, and ethical business practices.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience at Director or Managing Director level, ideally within executive search, logistics, supply chain, or professional services.
- Strong strategic planning and commercial acumen, including experience with P&L management, budgeting, and sustainable revenue growth.
- Background in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL operations, with understanding of warehouse utilisation, capacity management, and e-fulfilment dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain senior client relationships and secure new business with blue-chip organisations and global brands.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with a collaborative, inclusive, and outcome-focused leadership style.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in engaging C-suite and senior leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret market trends and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in business, management, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Comfort working on-site in Reading and being present with clients and team members as needed.
