The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 Β£ per year.
Reporting to the Managing Director, we are looking for an experienced Head of Human Resources. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience and be:
- CIPD qualified β Level 7 or equivalent
- Experience of working with Trade Unions
- Experience of working within matrix management structures across functional boundaries and delivering through others
- Strong leadership and people management skills along with extensive experience of managing a team during a time of transition
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships and influence at all levels
- Adept at designing and implementing commercially focused HR strategies and solutions
- Strong strategic, analytical and commercial focus
- Experience of leading and delivering culture change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Experience in building, maintaining and developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Coaching/mentoring qualification or evidence of continuing development
- Logistics industry experience
- Ability to travel to various sites
- Experience of managing large scale, complex TUPE transfers
- Proven track record of leading a team of regional HR Business Partners preferably within a large, multi-site organisation
With a proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with employment law:
- Build, implement and sustain a data-informed Employee Relations strategy whilst ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Work on projects and initiatives to mitigate risk, support or participate in special projects/programs requiring ER stakeholder input.
- Represent the organisation in contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and Union Representatives.
- Shape and lead a team of HR Business Partners, developing their skills and capabilities to develop close working relationships with management teams and provide proactive, commercially-focused HR solutions, input and advice.
- Lead the development and implementation of an ER framework for all key ER activities, including, but not limited to grievance and disciplinary investigations, absence and performance management etc.
- Mentor and guide HR Business Partners through the sharing of knowledge and role modelling to help them develop their remit and become trusted business partners for the business area they support.
- Take the strategic lead on shaping the HR Business Partner service.
