About the role

As a Systems Engineer (AWS), you will support the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of cloud‑based environments, ensuring systems remain stable, secure and scalable. You will closely collaborate with engineering and support teams to monitor system performance, respond to incidents and contribute to infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor system health and respond to alerts to maintain stability and performance
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of system and performance issues
  • Assist with system configuration, automation, and infrastructure improvements
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve issues
  • Support incident response and system recovery activities
  • Help improve monitoring, alerting, and reporting capabilities
  • Contribute to capacity planning and scalability efforts
  • Apply security practices in daily operations
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) or similar environments
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX systems
  • Understanding of scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, EKS)
  • Exposure to tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CI/CD pipelines
  • Aware of infrastructure as code and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, New Relic)
  • Understanding of system security, backup, and recovery practices
  • Ability to problem‑solve, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment
