About the Role
The Digital Workplace and Security Communications Manager will develop, coordinate and deliver colleague communications that support Elsevier’s digital workplace, security, technology tooling and AI enablement priorities. Working across Technology Optimization and Global Communications, you will translate technical information into clear, practical and actionable communications that help colleagues understand change, adopt new tools, work securely and use AI responsibly and confidently. This role partners closely with senior technology and security leaders and plays a key role in delivering timely, coordinated and accessible communications across the business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver colleague communications that support digital workplace, security, technology tooling and AI enablement priorities.
- Translate complex technical topics into clear, practical and engaging communications for broad and varied audiences.
- Support the communication priorities of the CISO, SVP Technology Infrastructure and Operations, SVP Digital Business Solutions and Director, Technology & Product Communications.
- Create and coordinate communication plans, campaigns and content calendars aligned to agreed priorities and governance.
- Support technology change initiatives, platform transitions, tooling updates and digital workplace programmes.
- Deliver communications that encourage adoption of new tools, behaviours and ways of working.
- Partner with Technology, Security, End User Computing, AI Enablement, TechDesk, Tooling and Communications teams.
- Ensure communications are timely, coordinated, accessible and aligned across channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field, or 5 years equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in internal communications, employee communications, change communications or corporate communications.
- Experience developing and delivering colleague campaigns for broad and varied audiences.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex or technical information into clear and practical communications.
- Experience supporting technology change, platform transitions, tooling updates, digital workplace initiatives or similar programmes.
- Understanding of how communications can support the adoption of new tools, behaviours and ways of working.
- Strong planning and coordination skills, including experience managing content calendars, communications plans and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing or contributing to channels such as SharePoint, intranets, Viva Engage, Slack, email updates or knowledge hubs.
- Good judgment, attention to detail and the ability to manage timely or sensitive communications.
- Confidence using digital and AI tools to support day-to-day work.
