Supporting researchers with the submission of millions of manuscripts annually, we enable peer review and editorial workflows for the largest, global scientific publisher. About the role

As a Group Product Manager, within Elsevier’s global Submissions, you will be a key driver of our product strategy, leading a talented team dedicated to enhancing editor workflows and advancing research integrity. Your strategic vision will shape innovative features and solutions that have a tangible impact on the quality and trustworthiness of scientific publishing.

In this leadership role, you will collaborate with cross-functional squads of engineers, UX designers, data scientists, and subject matter experts to deliver world-class products that empower researchers, editors, and publishers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with business goals
  • Lead and develop high-performing product teams, fostering a culture of innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement
  • Translate complex research publication challenges into innovative, scalable solutions
  • Drive product success by setting clear KPIs, measuring impact, and iterating based on data and customer feedback
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across research, editorial, and technology domains to align priorities and maximize value delivery
  • Cultivate a strategic mindset within your team, evaluating market opportunities and guiding product roadmaps

Requirements

  • Proven success in product management, with experience of leading end-to-end product lifecycle in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Demonstrated leadership in building and coaching high-performing product teams
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex problems into innovative solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across multiple domains
  • Customer-centric with a passion for understanding user needs and delivering impactful solutions
  • Analytical mindset, skilled in defining, tracking and leveraging KPIs to measure success
