Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of high-quality commercial legal content and current awareness for the Lexis+ platform.
  • Produce practical guidance, monitor legal developments, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure content is relevant, accurate and valuable to practitioners.
  • Assisting with the creation, development and maintenance of a market-leading content set for the Commercial practical guidance module at a high standard technically and editorially.
  • Monitor developments, including anticipated upcoming developments, relevant to our customer base and/or other teams within Lexis+ that may need to be aware of them.
  • Work closely with Lexis+ Hub to produce a market-leading current awareness offering, providing news and analysis of the highest quality, and tailored to the needs and expectations of practitioners.
  • Engage proactively with customers and contacts in relevant markets to understand customer requirements and keep up-to-date with developments in practice.
  • Assist with customer queries via customer feedback or the Lexis Ask service regarding relevant coverage areas where required.
  • Collaborate proactively with other Lexis+ practice areas and the wider business where it is relevant to do so.

Qualifications

  • A lawyer qualified in England and Wales (either a solicitor, including professional support lawyer or barrister) with significant and broad experience in commercial law and practice.
  • Excellent knowledge - both technically and in the practical application - of relevant laws, issues, processes and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal and procedural concepts and their practical application concisely, clearly and in Lexis+ tone and house style.
  • Deep understanding of the legal market and in-house legal community, including the technical and practical needs and pain-points of practitioners.
  • Demonstrable experience of drafting documents on substantive and procedural issues, updates on key developments and/or other legal know-how.
  • Excellent research, organisation and planning skills, and a strong drive to meet challenging objectives and deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively and co-operatively with others, adopting a can-do attitude.
  • Pro-active in taking responsibility for continually developing and expanding areas of expertise, skills and knowledge.
