Overview
In this role you will research, design and deliver AI capabilities for the LexisNexis IP analytics platform. You will build agentic AI features and scalable services that support competitive intelligence, benchmarking and portfolio optimization. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, using Python and cloud technologies to create cost-efficient production systems, while mentoring juniors and collaborating with stakeholders. This is a flexible, collaborative environment focused on shaping AI-powered IP solutions for global innovation.

Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies for customer-facing features
- Design and build agentic AI systems and AI-powered product capabilities
- Develop reusable frameworks for evaluating AI quality, safety and performance
- Build scalable, high-performance and cost-efficient services
- Evolve AWS platform infrastructure using Terraform (RDS, EKS)
- Mentor junior developers in engineering best practices (test-driven development with pytest)
- Write and review detailed technical specifications for moderately complex components
- Participate in code reviews, Scrum ceremonies, and cross-functional collaboration
Key requirements
- Experience with modern Python codebases
- Experience with AWS or comparable cloud platform including infrastructure-as-code
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and delivery processes
- Experience with generative AI and agentic AI systems
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Azure Pipelines and Terraform experience desirable, not essential
