About the Role
Our IP analytics offerings enable core IP activities such as competitive intelligence, benchmarking, portfolio optimisation and more, by bringing together highly curated and enriched datasets, cutting‑edge analysis tools with streamlined workflows and powerful visualisation capabilities, all within a single platform. The AI Platform team is responsible for the features that power the AI capabilities of LexisNexis IP's flagship IP analytics products. We research new AI technology and apply it in our products, resulting in intelligent features that benefit our users, as well as reusable tools for our internal platform. This is an opportunity to join a team that works on a modern, cloud native infrastructure and become an essential part of building LexisNexis IP's AI future.
Responsibilities:
- Research the applicability of cutting‑edge AI technology in our features.
- Work across multiple technologies around a core including Python, AWS (EKS, S3, RDS, Terraform, etc.), AI/ML/Data Science libraries (Google ADK, pandas, faiss, etc.).
- Develop reusable AI evaluation frameworks.
- Design agentic AI systems.
- Deliver AI powered features.
- Create performance‑ and cost‑optimised services.
- Help build AWS platform infrastructure with Terraform, such as RDS instances or EKS clusters.
- Mentor less senior developers on coding best practices (TDD with pytest, Pythonic code, etc.).
- Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of moderately complex system components.
- Participate in development processes and code reviews.
- Operate in a Scrum based development environment while collaborating with stakeholders.
Experience:
- Experience working with a modern Python codebase.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud providers, including knowledge of IaC solutions.
- Understanding Software Engineering techniques and processes.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience.
- Experience with GenAI and agentic AI.
- Experience with Azure Pipelines & Terraform is desirable, but not essential.
