About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Case Law Content Performance and Operations, the UK Managing Editor, Cases is responsible for leading UK-based editorial teams delivering case law content across the UK portfolio. The role has overall accountability for business-as-usual production across online case law and Law Reports, ensuring content meets established standards for quality, timeliness, and completeness while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement. This position also plays a key role in the adoption of AI-enabled workflows and editorial innovation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee workflows for UK case law content across digital and print formats, ensuring quality, accuracy, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
- Collaborate with commercial and product stakeholders to align editorial output with market requirements and opportunities.
- Develop, monitor, and report on editorial metrics and performance indicators aligned to operational objectives.
- Drive adoption, growth, and integration of systems, tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions within editorial processes.
- Lead UK-based editorial teams delivering case law content across the UK portfolio.
- Ensure online case law and Law Reports outputs meet established standards for quality, timeliness, and completeness.
- Support operational efficiency and performance management within a structured, high-performance environment.
- Contribute to innovation, consistency, productivity, and quality across editorial operations.
Requirements
- Experience leading editorial teams and content production operations (legal content).
- Law degree or relevant work experience, with a strong understanding of legal principles.
- Ability to manage complex workflows across digital and print publishing environments.
- Strong focus on quality, accuracy, timeliness, and operational excellence.
- Experience using performance metrics and reporting to drive outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with commercial and product stakeholders.
- Experience supporting process improvement, automation, or AI-enabled workflows.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a structured, high-performance environment while driving innovation.
