Our client, a well-established national removals and storage company, is looking for an experienced Warehouse Controller to join their Manchester operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in warehousing, storage, or logistics to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy storage facility.
About the Role
As Warehouse Controller, you'll be at the heart of the warehouse operation β controlling documentation, liaising with clients, and ensuring every consignment meets the company's storage standards from arrival to release. You'll work closely with the Operations Team, playing a key role in keeping things running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer all warehouse documentation and ensure consignments are photographed on arrival in line with storage standards
- Keep computer systems updated on a day-to-day basis
- Act as the communication link between the company, clients, and internal teams
- Ensure all clients are dealt with in an effective, professional manner
- Quality check all consignments received and dispatched against storage standards
- Support the operational department as required
- Liaise regularly with the Operations Team / RQM
- Operate forklift trucks and crane equipment
- Assist with general warehouse and road crew duties as required
