About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to take charge of the day-to-day running of a busy storage warehouse in Uxbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, customer-focused individual with a background in removals or storage logistics to step into a role where they'll have real ownership over how the warehouse operates.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll be the key point of contact between the warehouse and its trade storage customers, keeping operations running smoothly, efficiently and cost-effectively.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the daily operation of the warehouse, making the best use of labour, equipment and storage space
- Acting as the main liaison between the warehouse, customers and other facilities
- Overseeing all operational paperwork and ensuring documents are filed and controlled correctly
- Processing bookings and container movements using the Moveware system
- Logging crate usage accurately to support timely invoicing
- Making recommendations to improve cost-efficiency and maximise warehouse capacity
- Ensuring equipment is well maintained and available for use
- Handling forklift truck operations and general warehouse duties where needed
- Distributing reports and providing clear information across warehouse functions
- Picking up varied administrative duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in removals, storage or a similar warehouse/logistics environment is ideal
- Supervisory experience within a large storage warehouse, managing varying volumes of crates
- Licensed forklift truck operator - Reach and Counterbalance
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable building relationships at all levels
- Resilient under pressure, reliable, and takes pride in their work and appearance
