THE ROLE
- You will take strategic and operational responsibility for a large, geographically diverse national fleet of approximately 200 vehicles (3.5T–18T).
- Working closely with operational managers across the UK, you will ensure the fleet runs smoothly, safely, and in full regulatory compliance — all while keeping a firm grip on costs and service standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Leading the management of a diverse, multi-weight national fleet.
- Ensuring full compliance including Operator's Licence oversight.
- Supporting regional managers with driver and vehicle compliance.
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Overseeing workshops and service standards across the network.
- Managing fleet costs, fines, and day-to-day expenditure.
- Handling fleet administration — V5s, purchase orders, and more.
- Producing weekly performance and compliance reports for senior leadership.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Transport Manager CPC — essential.
- Proven, recent hands‑on fleet management experience.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing commercial vehicles — highly desirable.
