Are you an experienced fleet professional ready to lead at a national level? This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a diverse UK-wide vehicle operation, driving compliance, efficiency, and operational excellence across the business.

THE ROLE

  • You will take strategic and operational responsibility for a large, geographically diverse national fleet of approximately 200 vehicles (3.5T–18T).
  • Working closely with operational managers across the UK, you will ensure the fleet runs smoothly, safely, and in full regulatory compliance — all while keeping a firm grip on costs and service standards.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Leading the management of a diverse, multi-weight national fleet.
  • Ensuring full compliance including Operator's Licence oversight.
  • Supporting regional managers with driver and vehicle compliance.
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Overseeing workshops and service standards across the network.
  • Managing fleet costs, fines, and day-to-day expenditure.
  • Handling fleet administration — V5s, purchase orders, and more.
  • Producing weekly performance and compliance reports for senior leadership.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Transport Manager CPC — essential.
  • Proven, recent hands‑on fleet management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience managing commercial vehicles — highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities at pace.
