They are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their London team in a hybrid role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and results-oriented professional with experience in the relocation or removals industry to play a key role in driving business growth.
The role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and implementing strategic sales initiatives to increase revenue and bid conversion rates.
With a competitive salary of £45K – £50K plus commission (to be discussed during the interview process), this is an exciting opportunity to join a respected company and make a real impact.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Manage the sales process, developing strategic plans to meet personal and company targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead generation, including targeted email campaigns, direct outreach, and personalised cold calling.
- Present compelling proposals and deliver engaging presentations to secure new clients.
- Expand professional networks by attending industry events and meetings to uncover opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, ensuring seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Support account implementation, assisting with client onboarding.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience (Essential):
- Proven experience in sales and business development, ideally in the relocation or removals industry.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, with a meticulous approach to following up on enquiries and writing proposals.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to market changes.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator (preferred).
- Experience in developing proposals, quotes, and managing the RFP process.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience (Desirable):
- Full understanding of the sales process.
- Proactive, assertive, and able to take ownership of targets and strategy.
- Commercially aware, with a proven track record of negotiating and closing sales.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong industry knowledge and market insight.
