This is not a typical sales role. If you're a consultative, commercially minded leader who wants to build and shape a genuinely new proposition - not just sell against a brief - read on.

We're recruiting a Head of Future Workspaces for a market-leading commercial relocation and workplace services business, to own the growth, profitability and continued evolution of their rapidly developing workplace consultancy and estate optimisation division.

The Opportunity

Organisations across the UK are grappling with hybrid working, underused estates, rising costs, asset visibility challenges, and mounting ESG pressure. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, commercial development and delivery - leading a proposition that combines workplace insight, occupancy data, asset intelligence, refurbishment, remanufacturing, reuse, resale and sustainability services to help clients optimise space, reduce cost, recover asset value and meet ESG goals.

This is more than an account management or sales role. You'll own the roadmap, shape the commercial model, and turn a developing proposition into a scalable, data-enabled workplace solutions business - while staying hands-on with strategic client conversations and business development.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning revenue growth, margin quality and long-term value creation for the Future Workspaces proposition
  • Shaping the roadmap across asset intelligence, workplace insight, occupancy data, ESG reporting, reuse, resale and lifecycle workplace solutions
  • Opening senior conversations with corporate occupiers, landlords, public sector bodies, universities, healthcare, life sciences and professional services organisations
  • Selling consultatively across multiple stakeholders - Facilities, Real Estate, Sustainability, Procurement, Finance, HR and C-suite
  • Building a qualified pipeline and leading discovery, proposal and close across complex, consultative sales cycles
  • Defining go-to-market positioning - target sectors, priority accounts, routes to market and messaging
  • Working with colleagues to develop the systems and technology behind the proposition - asset data, dashboards, reporting tools, digital workflows and occupancy intelligence
  • Shaping how the service is packaged, priced and delivered to ensure it's commercially viable and clearly differentiated
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities from an established national client base, working closely with the wider relocation, project management, storage, IT move and sustainability teams

What We're Looking For

Sector background matters less than mindset and capability. We're open to candidates from workplace, FM, real estate, sustainability, SaaS, consultancy, professional services, managed services, circular economy, logistics, design and build, or business transformation - as long as you can do the following:

  • Lead strategic business development and consultative sales at a senior level
  • Take ownership of commercial performance, ideally with prior P&L exposure
  • Shape proposition, product or service development alongside winning new business
  • Understand client problems quickly and translate them into tangible commercial and sustainability outcomes
  • Build trust, create demand, and operate comfortably in longer, more consultative sales cycles
  • Work with an evolving offer and help identify where it can go next

You'll be commercially sharp, credible, resilient and comfortable moving between boardroom conversations, proposition design and operational delivery discussions.

The Package

Thurrock-based, full-time office (no hybrid) Permanent The chance to own and grow a genuinely new commercial proposition from the ground up.
