We are recruiting for an established removals and relocation company seeking an experienced Corporate Account Manager to join their successful corporate team on a remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a portfolio of corporate, RMC (Relocation Management Company), and trade clients, delivering exceptional service across UK, European, International, and third-country moves.
You will be working remotely with the flexibility to manage your own schedule, while being part of a collaborative corporate team that meets regularly to drive strategy and excellence.
The Role
As a Corporate Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing an existing book of corporate business, building strong client relationships, maximizing account growth opportunities, and ensuring seamless service delivery across all move types. You will work closely with operations, network partners, and international agents to coordinate complex relocations while maintaining commercial focus and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management & Client Relationships
- Manage existing corporate, RMC, and trade client accounts across UK, European, International, and third-country moves.
- Maximize relationship depth through cross-selling and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with qualified prospects and key stakeholders.
- Deliver exceptional service throughout the relocation process, building loyalty and repeat business.
- Attend account review meetings and present performance updates as required.
- Move Coordination & Service Delivery
- Understand each enquiry fully and action appropriately within KPI timelines.
- Arrange preliminary surveys of personal effects.
- Liaise with external agents, network partners, shipping companies, and freight agents.
- Negotiate competitive rates with shipping companies and third-country suppliers.
- Formulate comprehensive move plans and quotations adhering to KPI timelines.
- Maintain oversight of file handling and progression, providing guidance and escalating concerns.
- Manage customer service issues and resolve root causes of problems.
- Keep clients updated on freight charges and exchange rate fluctuations.
- Commercial & Financial Management
- Invoice clients and ensure payment received within contract terms.
- Provide guidance on quotations and pricing to maintain loyalty and maximize profits.
- Identify upselling opportunities and support team development.
- Provide reporting to accounts including financial spend, KPIs, and tonnage as required.
- Present projected revenues and profits to Corporate and Senior Management Team.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Provide daily feedback to the corporate sales team regarding account issues.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure move plans are executed on time and to required standards.
- Attend corporate sales meetings (approximately 4-6 times per year in Aylesbury).
- Contribute to developing sales strategies, setting targets, and continuous improvement.
- Provide cover and support to colleagues as necessary.
- Complete reports and submit information as requested.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience as a Corporate Account Manager in the removals/relocation industry.
- Strong knowledge of RMC operations and corporate/trade client management.
- Experience managing UK, European, International, and third-country moves.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage P&L and maximize profitability.
- Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal.
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple accounts and complex move files.
- Problem-solving mindset with focus on customer satisfaction.
- Proficient with CRM systems and MS Office.
Desirable
- DSP (Destination Service Provider) certification or experience.
- Existing relationships with RMCs, corporate clients, or trade partners.
- Experience negotiating with international agents and shipping companies.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and international shipping regulations.
Location & Flexibility
This is a remote position offering excellent work-life balance and flexibility. However, there are important location requirements:
- You MUST be able to commute to one of the firms depots in Buckinghamshire, Kent, or Surrey when required for operational needs or meetings.
- You MUST be able to commute to Buckinghamshire for corporate team meetings (approximately 4-6 times per year, typically 10am-3pm) - this is essential and non-negotiable.
- Ideal locations: Candidates based in or around Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Kent, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, West Sussex, or Hertfordshire would be well-positioned for this role.
