RELOcruitment are delighted to be working alongside an award-winning Removals & Storage Firm. They provide professional removals and storage solutions all over the globe. They are now looking to recruit a Removals Porter to join their experienced operations team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role ideal for someone with a practical mindset, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to high standards of service and professionalism. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient handling of clients possessions, whether during loading, transport, or unloading. Youll also be expected to support your team, follow clear instructions, and maintain a courteous and professional attitude at all times. Responsibilities: Safely load and unload vehicles and/or storage containers according to company procedures Ensure customer possessions are handled with care and respect at all times Deliver a professional and courteous interface with customers Work collaboratively as part of a removals team to complete each move efficiently Follow operational instructions, risk assessments, and relevant health and safety procedures Maintain accurate documentation and report any issues or incidents promptly Assist in the set-up and dismantling of furniture or equipment as required Occasionally interpret plans or layout drawings to support specialist moves Support other crew members and help maintain a clean, safe working environment Ideal Candidate: Reliable, physically fit and comfortable with manual work Excellent spoken English and good communication skills Literate and numerate, with strong attention to detail Full UK Driving Licence (desirable but not essential) Customer-focused with a professional, friendly manner Able to follow procedures and instructions consistently Experience working in removals or logistics is advantageous Basic understanding of Health & Safety regulations Experience in office/commercial relocations is a bonus Able to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team Training & Development: Full on-the-job training will be provided, including health and safety, handling techniques, and customer service best practices.
