Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing remote engineering support to field-based engineers, including incident triage, remote resolution, firmware upgrades, and patching.
  • Providing technical expertise in fault finding and repairs across a varied selection of PC/Network based and analogue security systems.
  • Providing technical expertise in PPM and associated repairs on CCTV systems, Lenel, IDS, and Traka systems.
  • Understanding fibre optic transmission systems, LAN/WAN networks, and radio telemetry systems to effectively remedy any faults.
  • Liaising with field engineers where required.
  • Participating in team meetings and actively contributing towards the business’s activities.
  • Striving to maximise personal development and performance and taking an active part in performance reviews and personal development plans.
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge through internal and external training provision.
  • Operating according to the requirements of business-specific applications and processes.

Your competencies include:

  • NVQ 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent proven experience (4+ years).
  • Knowledge of Access control, CCTV, Intercom, and Intruder systems.
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of digital electronics principles and systems.
  • Health and Safety knowledge.
  • Good knowledge surrounding digital electronics and electrical systems.
  • Microsoft OS knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP and other network fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.

You must be able to gain the client's own DV level clearance.

Your profile should be flexible with a can-do/will-do attitude, able to work both independently and as part of a team. A proven record of great customer service and an ability to manage time and workload is essential.
