Your responsibilities include:
- Providing remote engineering support to field-based engineers, including incident triage, remote resolution, firmware upgrades, and patching.
- Providing technical expertise in fault finding and repairs across a varied selection of PC/Network based and analogue security systems.
- Providing technical expertise in PPM and associated repairs on CCTV systems, Lenel, IDS, and Traka systems.
- Understanding fibre optic transmission systems, LAN/WAN networks, and radio telemetry systems to effectively remedy any faults.
- Liaising with field engineers where required.
- Participating in team meetings and actively contributing towards the business’s activities.
- Striving to maximise personal development and performance and taking an active part in performance reviews and personal development plans.
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge through internal and external training provision.
- Operating according to the requirements of business-specific applications and processes.
Your competencies include:
- NVQ 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent proven experience (4+ years).
- Knowledge of Access control, CCTV, Intercom, and Intruder systems.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of digital electronics principles and systems.
- Health and Safety knowledge.
- Good knowledge surrounding digital electronics and electrical systems.
- Microsoft OS knowledge.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and other network fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
You must be able to gain the client's own DV level clearance.
Your profile should be flexible with a can-do/will-do attitude, able to work both independently and as part of a team. A proven record of great customer service and an ability to manage time and workload is essential.
