Our client in Blackburn is looking to recruit an Upholsterer for a permanent role out of their manufacturing and distribution site.
The role will involve:
- Upholstering various furniture frames including sofa beds, chairs, sofas and beds
- Using materials including leathers, velvets and high-end fabrics
- Checking work orders to determine amount of material needed
- Following drawings and designs
- Deep buttoning, piping and finishing
- Measure and cutting of materials
The working times and pay:
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30-16:30 and 07:30-12:30 on Fridays (Part-time can be considered)
- 39 hours per week after breaks
- £13.00 – £15.00 per hour dependent on experience, reviewed after 3 months
- 12 week temp to perm role
Skills/Experience Needed:
- Previous upholstery experience with sofas and beds essential
- 2-3 years upholstery experience
- Worked in the same industry recently or within the last 3 years
- Ability to read designs, measure materials and cut where needed
