Our client in Haslingden, Rossendale is looking to recruit a Bench Joiner/Wood Machinist for a temp to perm role out of their manufacturing and distribution site. The role will involve:

  • Following plans to make and fit seating units and other goods
  • Setting and operating machines
  • Using various hand tools
  • Working in the wood shop and on jobs around the UK, installing products
  • Quality checking finished goods

The working times and pay:

  • Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30
  • 40 hours per week after breaks
  • £13.50 - £14.50 per hour dependent on experience initially
  • Pay increases with progression
  • Overtime after 40 hours at x 1.25 in the week and x 1.5 at the weekends
  • 12 week temp to perm for the right candidate.

Skills/Experience Needed:

  • Previous woodwork/machinery experience
  • Experience working with furniture manufacturing preferred
  • UK Driving Licence, preferably clean is advantageous
  • Must be willing to travel to sites around the UK, working hours will vary.
