Our client in Haslingden, Rossendale is looking to recruit a Bench Joiner/Wood Machinist for a temp to perm role out of their manufacturing and distribution site. The role will involve:
- Following plans to make and fit seating units and other goods
- Setting and operating machines
- Using various hand tools
- Working in the wood shop and on jobs around the UK, installing products
- Quality checking finished goods
The working times and pay:
- Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30
- 40 hours per week after breaks
- £13.50 - £14.50 per hour dependent on experience initially
- Pay increases with progression
- Overtime after 40 hours at x 1.25 in the week and x 1.5 at the weekends
- 12 week temp to perm for the right candidate.
Skills/Experience Needed:
- Previous woodwork/machinery experience
- Experience working with furniture manufacturing preferred
- UK Driving Licence, preferably clean is advantageous
- Must be willing to travel to sites around the UK, working hours will vary.
