A rare opportunity to help shape the culture of one of the most exciting newly-formed organisations in world football. Relevent Football Partners (RFP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Relevent, purpose-built to commercialise the UEFA men's club competitions globally. Following a competitive tender process, RFP was awarded the worldwide commercial rights to the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League for the 2027–2033 cycle — one of the most significant rights packages in the history of the sport.
Operating as an independent entity, RFP provides UC3 — the joint venture between UEFA and European Football Clubs — with strategic and sales support across media, sponsorship, and licensing. The business is now in an exciting phase of growth, building a world-class team in London capable of delivering on the enormous potential of these rights.
This is a highly visible People Team role, sitting at the intersection of employee experience, culture, and operational people delivery. You will work closely with leaders to ensure the organisation is set up to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent, and that every employee's journey at RFP reflects the ambition of the business.
You will engage meaningfully with employees and managers across the full lifecycle, act as a trusted advisor, and help champion the inclusive, high-performance culture that RFP is building from the ground up. Operating as part of a small, collaborative People Team, this role covers day-to-day employee interactions as well as delivery of key people initiatives. You’ll be a visible, trusted point of contact for managers and employees, supporting day-to-day needs while helping drive engagement, culture, and talent activity.
Working pattern: This role is based at our London office four days per week. Candidates should be comfortable with a predominantly office-based environment - this is a people-facing role that thrives on daily connection and presence.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with line managers on the delivery of business and people initiatives, ensuring teams are set up for commercial and operational success.
- Support in the creation, delivery, and embedding of projects and workstreams across the full employee lifecycle.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders to understand business priorities and deliver people-centric solutions.
- Engage directly with employees at key moments in their journey, from onboarding through to development conversations.
- Lead and manage the employee engagement survey, taking ownership of action plans and driving a culture of continuous feedback.
- Support on employee relations matters for the UK population, ensuring compliance with employment law throughout.
- Drive inclusive hiring and engagement practices.
- Utilise people metrics and data to identify trends, drive improvement, and demonstrate impact.
- Help position RFP as an employer of choice in the sports, media, and entertainment space.
About You:
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent professional experience.
- HR advisory or business partnering experience.
- True HR generalist across the full employee lifecycle.
- Solid grounding in employee relations and HR best practice.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Background in media, sport, or entertainment (desirable).
- Comfortable operating globally and cross-culturally.
- Thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments.
Why This Role:
You will be joining a passionate, high-performing team at a pivotal moment, as the organisation scales and prepares to deliver one of football's most ambitious commercial programmes. The culture you help shape now will define how RFP operates for years to come.
This role offers the opportunity to be embedded in the business, gaining broad exposure across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, while contributing to a supportive and high-performing People function.
