About Relevent Football Partners: Relevent Football Partners (RFP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Relevent, purpose-built to commercialise the UEFA men’s club competitions globally. An independent entity, RFP is tasked with providing UC3 — the joint venture between UEFA and European Football Clubs (EFC) — strategic and sales support in the worldwide marketing and sale of media, sponsorship, and licensing rights for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League, and the UEFA Futsal Champions League.

Following the UC3 tender process, Relevent Football Partners was awarded the commercial rights to the UEFA men’s club competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) on a global basis for the 2027 to 2033 cycle. As such, Relevent Football Partners is now seeking to build a truly world class business focused on the monetisation of these commercial rights.

Position Summary: The Licensing Manager is responsible for a wide range of administrative, analytical, and general support tasks for RFP’s Sponsorship & Licensing Team. This is a 360°-role in a dynamic team, with involvement in the development of licensing strategies, creative direction, licensing sales presentations, and sales/business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving new business development in all traditional and non-traditional categories as well as focusing on ‘creative licensing’ i.e., taking brands into relevant, innovative categories through creative thinking, commercial initiative.
  • Attending and maximising business opportunities at selected trade shows in the UK and international, as appropriate.
  • Targeting specific product categories/retail tiers for business development, to be agreed and converted into KPIs/objectives.
  • Responsible for attaining and where possible exceeding agreed annual sales targets for licensing sales on annual MGs and total MGs of new deals and/or royalties.
  • Utilise/devise business development and reporting mechanisms to keep Senior Sponsorship & Licensing Team updated.
  • Acting effectively as brand manager, an extension of the team and managing the viability of product design and development with them for existing and new licensees.
  • Activating retail and marketing initiatives with licensees, e.g., product and lifestyle photo shoots, development of marketing materials, trade shows and launch/PR events and generating industry press on and offline.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in managing all aspects of the licensing chain, from brands, licensees, and retailers, whether as part of an agency, brand owner, licensee, or retailer.
  • Strong understanding of how all parts of the licensing industry work together, with hands‑on experience across the full licensing process.
  • Proven track record in deal‑making and driving additional sales revenue.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking ability to manage assignments across numerous projects simultaneously and maintain priorities within a steady daily workflow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and web browser-based interfaces.
  • A passion for sports and an interest in football.
  • Ultimate team player.
