Relevent Football Partners (RFP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Relevent, purpose-built to commercialise the UEFA men's club competitions globally.

An independent entity, RFP is tasked with providing UC3 - the joint venture between UEFA and European Football Clubs (EFC) - strategic and sales support in the worldwide marketing and sale of media, sponsorship, and licensing rights for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League, and the UEFA Futsal Champions League.

Following the UC3 tender process, Relevent Football Partners was awarded the commercial rights to the UEFA men's club competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) on a global basis for the 2027 to 2033 cycle.

As such, Relevent Football Partners is now seeking to build a truly world class business focused on the monetisation of these commercial rights.

Position Summary

The Matchweek & Broadcast Operations Lead is a key role within the Relevent Football Partners Media Rights Team.

Based in London and reporting to the Head of Matchweek & Broadcast Operations, the successful candidate will play a leading role in the development and delivery of world-class matchweek and broadcast operational services for media partners across UEFA Men's Club Competitions (UMCC).

Drawing on extensive experience in sports broadcasting and production operations, the Matchweek & Broadcast Operations Lead will work closely with media partners to help maximise the value of their UMCC rights.

The role requires a highly collaborative approach, working within an integrated, high-performing team of matchweek, broadcast operations, and production specialists to ensure the highest standards of operational delivery.

The Matchweek & Broadcast Operations Lead will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media partners, UEFA, UC3, and appointed supplier partners, ensuring effective communication, seamless coordination, and a best-in-class service throughout the rights cycle.

A strong focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement will be critical to success in the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and implementation of the new UEFA Men's Club Competitions (UMCC) rights cycle, working closely with UEFA, UC3, supplier partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition ahead of the 2027/28 season.
  • Coordinate with UEFA and media partners to deliver best-in-class live match coverage across all UMCC competitions, including the onboarding and integration of new host broadcasters.
  • Plan and deliver engaging media partner workshops in collaboration with UEFA and internal teams throughout the rights cycle.
  • Work collaboratively across the Matchweek & Broadcast Operations team and wider Media Rights function to provide exceptional service to media partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage matchweek operational planning, bookings, and venue-related services in partnership with UEFA, media partners, and supplier partners to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance services and operational processes, using stakeholder feedback and aligning with strategic and commercial objectives.
  • Act as a senior operational representative of Relevent Football Partners, building trusted relationships with UEFA, UC3, media partners, and supplier stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of operational strategy and continuous improvement initiatives across the rights cycle.
  • Support and promote a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
  • Key Experience
  • Senior-level live sports broadcast and venue operations experience, ideally within football or other premium sports properties.
  • Strong knowledge of broadcast production workflows, host broadcaster operations, rights-holder requirements, and matchday delivery.
  • Proven stakeholder management, building effective relationships with broadcasters, rights holders, venues, suppliers, and media partners across international events.
  • Experience delivering large-scale, multi-venue sporting events, including broadcast operations, media partner onboarding, operational planning, and matchweek delivery across multiple territories.
  • Track record of operational leadership and continuous improvement, including workshops, stakeholder engagement, and enhancing service delivery.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced international environments, managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and diverse cultural stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting media rights partners and broadcasters, with an understanding of how operational services contribute to rights value, partner satisfaction, and commercial objectives.
  • Experience working with UEFA competitions is preferable.
