Description

Who we are

Releaf Dispensary Ltd is a leading medical cannabis clinic committed to providing high-quality, safe, and effective cannabis-based treatments.

Headquartered in the UK, we aim to enhance the quality of life for our patients through innovative solutions and outstanding patient service.

We’re a fast-growing team of passionate professionals on a mission to put patients back in control of their health journey.

We’ve seen first-hand how alternative treatments can change lives, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of that change.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a SEO Content Manager to help drive our SEO content forward.

This is a role for someone who can do three things well: shape strategy, write to a high standard themselves, and get the best out of a small team.

You’ll own the content plan for your area, lead a pod of two writers, and still get hands-on with our most important pages and articles.

It suits someone who enjoys the strategic side but hasn’t stepped away from the writing.

Reporting to the Head of Content, you’ll turn business priorities into a clear content plan, keep your pod delivering, and make sure everything is high quality, on brand, optimised for search and compliant with the regulations that apply to our industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Shape the strategy: Own the content plan and roadmap for your area, working with the Head of Content to turn business and SEO priorities into a clear plan.
  • Lead a content pod: Manage, mentor and develop two SEO content writers, setting clear expectations and giving regular, constructive feedback.
  • Write flagship content: Stay hands-on with our most important and complex pages and articles, setting the standard for the team.
  • Own quality: Review, edit and sign off your pod’s work so it goes live accurate, on brand and well optimised.
  • Plan and brief: Translate the roadmap into clear briefs, allocate work across your pod and keep delivery on track.
  • SEO and performance: Hold your area to on-page SEO best practice and use performance data to decide what to create, update or improve next.
  • Tone and trust: Protect Releaf’s tone of voice and uphold a high bar for expertise, authority and trust (E-E-A-T).
  • Compliance: Make sure all content your area publishes meets the regulatory and compliance requirements that apply to our sector.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Content, the wider SEO team and other parts of marketing to keep content joined up.
  • What you’ll need

Essential

  • 5+ years in SEO content, including planning content and managing or mentoring writers.
  • A track record of using SEO content to grow organic traffic and engagement.
  • Native-level written English, with excellent grammar and editorial judgement.
  • Experience writing in healthcare, lifestyle, wellness or another regulated, high-trust subject.
  • Confident reading performance data and turning it into clear decisions.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with SEO tools (such as Ahrefs, Semrush or Google Search Console) and a CMS (such as DATO, Sanity, etc).
  • Awareness of how AI search and LLMs are changing the way people find information.
  • Experience building editorial processes and content frameworks.
  • An understanding of content compliance in a regulated sector.
  • Reporting and KPIs

You own the plan, the quality and the output for your area, both your own writing and the work of the two writers you manage.

We look at the strategy you set, the quality of the work, and how it performs once published, and you report to the Head of Content on a regular cadence.

  • What we measure
  • Organic performance: Growth in organic traffic and rankings across the content your area owns, against targets agreed with the Head of Content.
  • Pod output and quality: A steady volume of published content that is accurate, on brand and needs little further editing.
  • Team development: Your writers improving over time, with clear feedback and support in place.
  • Planning: A clear, up-to-date content plan that reflects business and SEO priorities.
  • How we report
  • Monthly: A review with the Head of Content covering plan progress, output, quality and performance.
  • Quarterly: A deeper look at organic performance and team development, with priorities set for the quarter ahead.

We’re looking for someone who is excited to join a busy growing organisation - our team culture is based on support and respect and we take a proactive approach to employee progression and development.

The ideal candidate for this role will be happy to roll their sleeves up and can take ownership of this role.

In return, we offer flexible working; personalised training and development; private health insurance, Employee Assistance Programmes; access to employee perks and Releaf staff patient benefits.

At Releaf, we believe that diverse teams build better businesses.

We're committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to do their best work.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences — and we're happy to make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process if you need them.

If you'd like to discuss this, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
