Role Overview
Releaf is seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Accounts Assistant (AAT Qualified/Qualified by Experience) to support the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across transactional finance, reconciliations, and month‑end processes while contributing to a fast‑growing, tech‑enabled healthcare organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction processing: Manage purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims using Xero and Spendesk.
- Reconciliations: Perform bank, direct debit, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Financial reporting: Support preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and budget forecasts.
- Journal posting: Prepare and post journals accurately and on time.
- Audit support: Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
- Data accuracy: Maintain high‑quality financial data within accounting systems.
- Administrative support: Handle internal and external finance queries and general finance administration.
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement automation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting systems (Xero preferred).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Requirements
- AAT qualified/Qualified by experience.
