About Relay Direct

Relay Direct is one of the UK’s fast-growing face-to-face sales and marketing companies, working with prominent brands to create meaningful customer connections. Our Graduate Business Trainee opportunity is designed for an ambitious graduate—or someone with an equivalent learning mindset—who wants broad commercial exposure rather than a purely classroom-based programme.

From our Watford office, you will learn how customer acquisition, campaign performance and people development contribute to business growth. You will begin in a practical customer-facing position across B2B, B2C and event environments, then work through clearly defined development stages as your capability grows.

What you’ll be doing

  • Gain experience across sales, customer engagement and campaign operations
  • Represent client brands in B2B, B2C and event settings
  • Review performance data and learn how campaigns grow
  • Participate in structured business and leadership coaching
  • Build towards responsibility for people, performance and campaign delivery

What we’re looking for

  • A recent graduate or candidate with an equivalent growth mindset
  • Commercial curiosity and confidence communicating with different audiences
  • Ambition, accountability and a willingness to take initiative
  • Open to learning through practical, customer-facing experience

Training and development

  • Practical experience in sales, marketing, customer behaviour and campaign delivery
  • Workshops covering performance analysis, communication and commercial decision-making
  • One-to-one coaching with clear development goals
  • Potential progression towards coaching, campaign coordination and team leadership

What success looks like

The strongest trainees combine curiosity with action. We are looking for someone who can absorb information, apply feedback, communicate professionally and take responsibility for results. A degree is welcome, but attitude, work ethic and demonstrated progress are central to advancement.

What Relay Direct offers

  • Performance-based earnings with realistic on-target earnings (OTE) of £26,000–£32,000
  • Structured training, regular workshops and one-to-one coaching
  • Merit-based progression into leadership and campaign responsibility
  • Recognition, team activities and travel opportunities for strong performers

OTE is an indication of potential performance-based earnings and is not guaranteed. Actual earnings depend on individual results.
