What you'll do

As our Family Advisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting families through separation as they navigate the family law system. From intake to resolution, you'll work alongside Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners to conduct thorough intake and assessments, ensuring client safety with a strong focus on child wellbeing. You'll make a difference by providing compassionate client service, providing relevant information and making referrals to internal and external support services. You'll maintain client records, contribute to service improvements, and ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards.

The details:

  • Permanent Part-time, 4 days a week
  • Based in Penrith
  • Approx $50-$56 per hour (depending on skills & experience) +12% super, 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900.

What you'll bring

  • Experience in the human services environment, working directly with clients who may be experiencing significant crises, domestic violence, or separation
  • Demonstrated skills in client assessment, engagement, and awareness of issues relating to client safety, confidentiality, and the requirements of relevant legislation
  • Some understanding of family dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, trauma informed practice, mental health and wellbeing
  • Experience providing casework to couples and families experiencing conflict or post-separation is desirable
