About the role

Join us in a community-focused role where you’ll help strengthen the local response to domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV). You’ll work closely with general practices and the broader service sector to build capability, improve referral pathways, and support safer outcomes for individuals and families.

You will:

  • Engage with general practices across Penrith, Blue Mountains and Lithgow, including co-located work within GP clinics (e.g. regular on-site days in Penrith)
  • Deliver and embed Recognise, Respond and Refer (RRR) training to build GP capability
  • Provide short-term, coordination-based support following disclosures, including risk-informed advice and referrals (primarily phone-based)
  • Deliver group-based education or support initiatives for individuals and families impacted by DFSV

The details:

  • Maximum Term Contract - 24 months
  • Part-time role working 3 days a week
  • Salary: Approx $48 – $53 per hour (depending on skills and experience) + 12% super, 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900.
  • Location: Hybrid working with regular travel across Penrith, Blue Mountains and Lithgow, including on-site work within GP practices
  • Valid NSW Class C driver's licence and own comprehensively insured motor vehicle
  • Flexibility to work outside of business hours on occasion where required

What you’ll bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, community development, health promotion or similar
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with domestic, family and sexual violence and/or child sexual abuse
  • Experience delivering training, coaching, groupwork or capacity-building activities
  • Experience responding to disclosures, including risk assessment and service coordination
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and collaborate effectively across services and stakeholders
