We’re looking for a practical, reliable Estates Technician to support day‑to‑day upkeep across our hotel, spa, restaurants, and Lake House estate. This is a short‑term, entry‑level role focused on routine tasks, basic checks, and assisting the Estates team during a busy period. You’ll work closely with our Estates Manager and senior technicians, helping with simple maintenance tasks and ensuring our spaces remain beautifully presented.
- Supports general tasks, and assists with basic maintenance duties such as simple repairs, tidying, and routine checks.
- Cleans and tests hot tubs daily, including water testing, chemical balancing, and safety checks for all hot tubs across the estate, ensuring they meet strict hygiene and presentation standards.
- Supports planned preventative maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Responds to requests and attends to minor maintenance issues raised by other departments, ensuring issues are logged and escalated appropriately.
- Supports safety and compliance by following established procedures to help keep facilities safe and compliant.
- Supports works across grounds and accommodation, by assisting with simple upkeep tasks across the estate, including outdoor areas and staff / guest accommodation.
- Completes basic checklists, including daily hot tub logs, and reports issues promptly to the senior estates team.
- Works closely with estates colleagues, contractors, and suppliers to support smooth daily operations.
- Helps maintain the high standards of cleanliness and presentation our guests expect.
Qualifications:
- Practical, hands‑on approach - comfortable carrying out simple manual tasks and following clear instructions.
- Basic maintenance skills, with some experience or confidence with general repairs or practical work is helpful but not essential.
- Positive, can‑do attitude and you’ll be someone who enjoys supporting a team and getting stuck in.
- Calm, reliable and able to stay steady and organised when unexpected issues arise.
- Flexible and willing to support a 7‑day hospitality operation with varied tasks, including daily hot tub routines.
