Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Bartender to join our professional and hardworking team. Someone who has the passion to deliver a truly memorable and impressive experience for guests. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating truly memorable and impressive 5* experiences.
Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. Our company goal is to deliver “refined and personalised hospitality” to enable our hotel to be a place where all guests can relax, enjoy themselves and have a break from normal life. To feel like royalty in a unique place with unique people. 1 Michelin Key Hotel and 3AA Rosette Restaurant.
£12.42 per hour, depending on experience. Full time permanent position, 40 hours per week worked over 5 days mainly evening shifts and weekends. Shifts between 12.30 to 00.00.
- Greet guests, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Answer all queries about the menu including drinks and make suggestions
- Take ownership of guest’s requirements and food allergies
- Set up the dining areas and process charges and payments
- Effectively communicate with managers and all colleagues
- Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Experienced bartender
- Knowledge of traditional cocktails and spirits
- Experience with handling guest queries and complaints
- Natural passion and flair for the industry and food
- A calm mature approach
- Ambition to succeed at the highest levels
- Dedicated team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative when needed
- Willing to learn new things
