The role

Part Time Night Porter

The Night Porter role at Farlam Hall is based on 3 nights per week, 10:30pm to 7am. A versatile role that incorporates safety checks, reception and other general hotel tasks. Delivering a professional and thoughtful experience, having an in-depth understanding of the systems we use, our room offerings and the ability to be a storyteller with our guests.

  • Safety checks are conducted in accordance with our policies.
  • Property security.
  • Handling early departures and late arrivals.
  • Phone calls are answered and dealt with in a professional manner.
  • Assist with general guest enquiries including making a reservation. Preparing and posting of guest bills.
  • Work with the restaurant team in setting up for the following day; Breakfast tables and linen.
  • Housekeeping tasks include cleaning robes and preparing communal areas.
  • Administrative duties.
