Rel8 is an AWS Advanced Partner specialising in Agentic AI and Amazon Connect CX solutions. We deliver AI-powered contact centre and automation projects for regulated financial services clients across the UK and Europe.
We are looking for a freelance AWS AI Engineer to join our delivery team on a flexible, part-time basis. You will work alongside our senior engineers on AWS Bedrock AgentCore projects, agentic AI deployments, and Amazon Connect implementations. This role suits someone with strong AWS AI credentials who wants varied international project work with a growing AI-focused partner.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy agentic AI workflows using the Strands Agents framework
- Support delivery of AWS Bedrock AgentCore solutions
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK) for client deployments
- Support Amazon Connect integrations and contact centre AI features
- Participate in technical solution reviews
Required Certifications (at least one of the following)
- AWS Certified Generative AI Developer - Professional (preferred)
- AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
Plus at least one Associate-level certification:
- AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate
Required Experience
- 3+ years hands-on AWS experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and foundation models
- Experience with serverless architectures (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS)
- Familiarity with AWS CDK or CloudFormation
- Strong written English
Desirable Experience
- AWS Bedrock AgentCore - agent deployment and runtime
- Claude Code and AI-assisted development workflows
- Multi-agent architectures (orchestration, tool use, agent-to-agent)
- Amazon Connect or contact centre technology
- Financial services projects
