A forward thinking firm of accountants is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Semi-Senior Accountant to join its dynamic team in Tamworth. This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee or Junior Accountant ready to step up into a Semi-Senior role, working with a diverse and engaging portfolio of clients.
Role Responsibilities
- Preparing accounts and financial statements for a range of owner-managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Processing client records and managing bookkeeping duties with accuracy and efficiency.
- Preparing tailored management accounts.
- Completing and reviewing VAT returns to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Supporting the planning and preparation of audit packs.
- Responding to routine client queries and providing ongoing support.
Personal Requirements
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA.
- Experience in a practice environment, with some exposure to audit work.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high standards of client service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Analytical mindset with sound problem-solving abilities.
- High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
