The firm has a well-earned reputation as an Advisor to Entrepreneurs and Owner-Managed SMEs, and provides its clients with expert Accountancy & Business Advisory, Tax and Outsourced Financial Management solutions using a variety of cloud and digital accounting systems to offer clients full visibility and understanding of their financial performance.

Main Duties:

  • Preparation and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and Limited companies
  • Liaising with clients and being their point of contact
  • Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns and dealing with HMRC
  • Support trainees by providing on-the-job training and coaching
  • Identify opportunities to deliver additional services to the clients and highlight these to the directors
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and assignments

Skills required:

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT, income tax and the impact on the clients' overall affairs
  • Good analytical skills and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage your (and colleagues') workflow
  • Ability to see an accounts file through to director review
  • A skills set allowing you to deal with client queries, communicate effectively and provide exceptional client service
  • IT literate - familiarity with Sage, Xero and Iris is preferable
  • Being a strong team player is essential
  • Minimum of 3 years practice experience
  • ACCA/ACA Part Qualified/Qualified/Qualified by Experience
