You will be joining a growing accountancy firm based in Dudley. They are a full-service Accountancy firm who work with a wide variety of clients across a range of sectors. They provide a full range of audit, accountancy, tax and advisory services, and are experts at simplifying complexity.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth through relationship management, lead generation, and identifying new business opportunities through client targeting/prospecting, promoting campaigns, and a strategic events programme. This is a varied role where you will have lots of opportunity to innovate, try new ideas, and work with collaborative, helpful people.
Duties & responsibilities
- Developing strategies to target new clients and build market share across key sectors.
- Generating market intelligence and conducting research to inform business development strategy and plans.
- Creating cohesive action plans for campaigns to maximise opportunities. Managing activity and reporting on progress.
- Developing and monitoring relationship plans to create and enhance conversations with prospective clients.
- Understanding and developing existing client relationships.
- Collaborating with the Marketing team to ensure that marketing initiatives, events and thought leadership support and deliver business development objectives.
- Working with the Proposals team to ensure that tender documents and pitch presentations reflect the client needs and articulate our value proposition.
What you will need to succeed
- Prior Business Development experience within a consultancy, accountancy, or law firm (5+ years).
- This role is equally suitable for an existing Manager or a Senior Exec looking for their first Manager role.
- Experience supporting a firm’s Consulting or Advisory practice would be highly advantageous.
