Main Duties:
- Preparation and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and Limited companies
- Liaising with clients and being their point of contact
- Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns and dealing with HMRC
- Support trainees by providing on-the-job training and coaching
- Identify opportunities to deliver additional services to the clients and highlight these to the directors
- Assist with ad hoc projects and assignments
Skills required:
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT, income tax and the impact on the clients' overall affairs
- Good analytical skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage your (and colleagues') workflow
- Ability to see an accounts file through to director review
- A skill set allowing you to deal with client queries, communicate effectively and provide exceptional client service
- IT literate - familiarity with Sage, Xero and Iris is preferable
- Being a strong team player is essential
- Minimum of 3 years practice experience
- ACCA/ACA Part Qualified/Qualified/Qualified by Experience
