Role Overview:
As an Accounts (& Audit) Manager, you will play a key role in the management and delivery of services to a varied portfolio of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounts to take the next step in their career and be part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing accounts (& Audit) assignments from planning to completion for a portfolio of clients.
- Overseeing and reviewing the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support.
- Managing relationships with clients and maintaining regular communication to ensure the timely delivery of services.
- Preparing financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS, and other applicable standards.
- Reviewing the work of junior staff and assisting in their development.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax computations and assisting with other areas of tax compliance.
- Ensuring that deadlines are met and that work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintaining and managing client records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Skills and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of accounting procedures.
- Experience in accounts preparation within an accountancy practice - Audit desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and taxation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
