As part of Reiss’ Production department, you’ll be joining as our Assistant Garment Technologist within the Childrenswear department. You will be assisting our Senior Garment Technologist throughout the sample fitting and management, as well as commenting on all pre-shipment samples. This role requires administrative support, whilst also working independently.

Who you are:

  • Prior experience in Garment Technologist specifically in Childrenswear
  • You have a relevant degree in Design, Garment Tech, Pattern Cutting or Product Development
  • Good knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, fitting and grading
  • Self-motivated and team oriented
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting our Senior Garment Technologist with the admin responsibilities and booking on all pre-shipment samples onto NOVA.
  • Handing out the e-com and buying samples to be transferred
  • Transferring samples from the department to the warehouse which after all goods are shipped will go back into stock
  • Data entry management for garment lengths and tech specifications, including garment fit description, garment weight, garment closure type and location
  • Supporting the team with checking and approving Wash Care Labels on TRS and input label into tech pack
  • Complete mainline comments, under the guidance of the Senior Garment Technologist
  • Assisting your manager with end of season reporting and updating tech documents, guidelines and manuals
  • Measuring and fitting pre-shipment samples with the Senior Garment Technologist and approving pre-shipment samples
  • Managing Supplier CP Approval deadlines, chasing fit samples, organising for fit sessions and taking notes at fit session
