With a strong emphasis on shipment consolidation and operational excellence, you’ll work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to optimise shipping performance, manage key systems and documentation, and support cost-effective decision-making across inbound logistics.

Who you are

  • Experience in a logistics or shipping role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong computer skills, including confident use of Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with freight forwarder systems is advantageous.
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions.
  • Highly organised, with strong planning skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and appropriate escalation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage inbound shipments, including approvals and use of freight forwarder systems within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain and update PLM systems, ensuring accuracy and timely data management.
  • Ensure all shipment documentation is complete prior to arrival and escalate any missing information or samples.
  • Monitor shipment timelines to ensure goods depart on time to meet launch deadlines.
  • Execute inbound forecasts, using them to guide shipment approvals and volume planning.
  • Track container utilisation against targets and make informed decisions on underutilised shipments.
  • Monitor supplier compliance and elevate delays or performance issues where required.
  • Support cost and routing decisions, including facilitating new routes, recommending freight method changes, and coordinating ad-hoc quotes.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and company bonus.
  • Up to 65% employee discount.
  • Access to exclusive sample sales.
  • Enhanced parental leave policies.
  • Electric Vehicle scheme via Octopus Energy.
  • Cycle to Work programme.
