As our Trainee Product Developer, you’ll support the Product Development team across all areas of development, sourcing and administration, helping to ensure the smooth running of the department. You will work closely with Design, Buying, Merchandising and Technical teams to manage the development process from initial concept through to final production, gaining hands‑on experience in supplier management, sample development, critical path management and sustainability within a fast‑paced fashion environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Product Development team with sourcing, development and administrative tasks across the department.
  • Assisting with supplier communication, sending development packs and supporting the onboarding of new suppliers and sourcing routes.
  • Chasing costing breakdowns, updating systems with costings and retail prices, and supporting margin improvement opportunities.
  • Maintaining trackers for tech packs, developments, samples and critical path updates, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinating sample management by chasing proto samples, logging deliveries, steaming samples and preparing them for meetings.
  • Supporting weekly progress meetings and working closely with Buying, Merchandising and Technical teams to ensure product progresses smoothly to delivery.
  • Assisting Design and Product Development teams with fabric, yarn and garment developments in line with seasonal requirements.
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives by exploring responsible sourcing practices, certifications and more sustainable product development solutions.
