As our Trainee Buyer, you’ll play a key supporting role within the Buying team, helping to develop and deliver commercially successful collections in line with the Reiss brand. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Buying, gaining hands-on experience across product development, supplier management and in-season trading.

You’ll work closely with the Buyer and wider cross-functional teams to manage the critical path, support collection development and ensure product is delivered on time, to the right quality and price point.

Who you are

  • A strong interest in Buying and product, ideally with some experience in a retail or head office environment.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A proactive self-starter with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, confident working with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Commercially aware, with an interest in trends, product and the premium fashion market.
  • A team player who builds strong relationships across functions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing and maintaining the critical path, ensuring all key milestones such as colour and trim approvals are completed on time.
  • Supporting the Buyer in developing and building collections through market analysis, identifying opportunities, pricing and product trends.
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.
  • Managing sample processes, including coordinating requests, organising showrooms for buy and trade meetings, and maintaining sample areas.
  • Working with the studio to ensure all product is photographed on time for partners and online channels.
  • Supporting sales and marketing activity by contributing to trend packs, partner presentations and product selection for campaigns.
  • Producing reports including best sellers and trade analysis to support weekly meetings and ad hoc requests.
  • Monitoring the website to ensure product is presented in line with how it was bought and intended to trade.
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships with teams including Merchandising, Marketing, Design and Ecommerce.
